Uniform Namespace and Security

The goal of this project is to converge the C&C account namespace into a uniform set of single UID, login name and primary password per individual and served by network security servers. The project includes evaluation and scaling analysis of DCE, Kerberos 5 and CyberSAFE servers. The system represents a new design point for the Uniform Access environment vs. a retrofit of the existing system. The project is made up of personnel from each of the C&C units and coordinated by Lori Stevens. This project will also review the existing Uniform Access account system and design a new system integrated with the planned security/authentication service. The new system will include client services tools for account management and a port of the reporting system from VMS to UNIX.
