Ken has a test system running between Asimov and Mead1.  Use "newtmr" on
Asimov to test.  8mm tape is also supported.  Use vsn "DDDDDD" to test an
8mm device.  Ken is awaiting evaluation by Bob J. before finalizing the
user interface.

11/28/95

Ken Marquess diagrammed his network tape client/server device driver
and relation to tms/tmr at a meeting attended by Yonah Karp, Jim
DeRoest, Tom Remmers, Doug Luft and Bob Jamieson.  Ken hopes to have
a system working with tms/tmr in a couple of weeks.  He noted that 
this system could be used from desktop clients.

A meeting will be held 11/16 to discuss tape support for Mead and
general UA systems.
