ASTDA Awards and Former Honorees

The Thomas Parran Award is presented annually to a member for long and distinguished contributions in the field of STD research and prevention.

The ASTDA Achievement Award is presented annually for a single recent major achievement in the field of STD research and prevention.

The ASTDA Young Investigator Award is presented annually to an outstanding investigator in the field of STD who is no more than five years beyond fellowship training.

Special note for ASTDA members: The ASTDA is extending the deadline for nominations for the Young
Investigator Award until January 25, 2008. Please consider nominating a promising young investigator for this award. Please submit (electronic submission is preferred) a brief letter of nomination and the nominee's current CV (if possible) to Bradley Stoner no later than Friday, January 25, 2008. The Awards Selection Committee (comprised of the ASTDA VP, the 2007 Parran Awardee, and two ASTDA Executive Board members) will make the selections in late January.
