Exoplanetology has exploded in the last ten years. On the cutting edge of this young and growing field, a small group of astronomers are moving a step further and searching for exomoons. No discoveries have been made to date, but given planetary formation theories and the abundance of moons in our own solar system, there is little doubt that Exomoons are plentiful. Come and hear an over view of exomoon study including: their relevance to accurate planetary characterization, the possibility of habitable exomoons, and the techniques astronomers are implementing to try and find them. THIS TALK IS CURRENTLY FULL. PLEASE CHECK BACK IN MARCH OF 2016 FOR OUR 2016 OBSERVING SEASON THAT WILL OPEN THE 1ST WEDNESDAY IN APRIL.
