About the Experimental College
The Experimental College in association with the Associated Students of the University of Washington (ASUW) is the largest nonprofit student-run program of its kind. We offer fun, non-credit classes in over twenty different categories. The variety of classes presents you with a unique opportunity to expand your interests and knowledge. We publish over 50,000 catalogs a quarter and offer over 200 courses located conveniently at the University, the University District, and other locations within Seattle.
The paper and the online catalog is the result of ten hardworking UW students committed to providing an inexpensive, alternate education to the UW and the greater Seattle community. The ASUW Experimental College is an entity of the Associated Students of the University of Washington, the student government on campus.
We were founded in 1968 by a group of UW students seeking education in areas not found in the traditional university environment. We are proud having served Experimental College students for over 35 years by bringing enrichment opportunities to the community.
