The ASUW Experimental College needs a new logo, and we want our fellow UW students to submit their designs.
The Experimental College is a non-profit entity within the Associated Students of the University of Washington (ASUW), which offers affordable and fun non-credit classes to University of Washington students and the Seattle community. Established in 1968, the Experimental College has always been run by an all-student staff.
Our mission is to provide students and Seattle residents with enriching opportunities to further their education, often beyond the bounds of their particular degrees. With over 100 classes taught by students and community member alike, we cater to the curious and the adventurous.
In honor of the impending 45th Anniversary of the Experimental College, we're looking to freshen things up with a new logo. The logo will be used on various marketing endeavors -- banners, give-away swag, and online advertising -- as well as on the Experimental College catalog, of which over 50,000 copies are distributed on campus and around Seattle every year.Contest Rules
Our ideal logo would somehow reflect the purpose and spirit of the Experimental College. We recommend exploring our website to find out more about our mission and values. It can be very simple -- you certainly don't need to be a design student to make it. The Off-Campus Housing Affairs logo and the Arts & Entertainment logo are examples of the sort of very basic designs we have in mind.
The logo should be a one-color, vector image submitted as an Illustrator file. It should also be readable in very small formats (for example, on the side of a pen).
This contest is open to current University of Washington students only.CONTEST CLOSES: 11:59pm, Sunday, March 10, 2013
