Christopher B. Eiben

My ultimate goal is to use synthetic biology to find practical solutions to real world problems. Currently I am a Graduate student at the University of California Berkeley/San Francisco. In the past I have focused on computational loop remodeling to design enzymes with improved activities. Much of this research has been conducted through Foldit and with the help of the Foldit community we are making many exciting discoveries. I have also been a part of the UW iGEM team, in one form or another, since 2009. Outside of research I enjoy playing, producing and composing music, as well as running and soccer.
