Charles Hoffman: A former Price Waterhouse auditor, Charles Hoffman, CPA, is director of innovative solutions at UBmatrix and author of Essentials of XBRL (John Wiley & Sons Inc., 2003). He received the AICPA's Innovative User of Technology award, was named by Accounting Technology as one of the profession's 100 most influential people and is a graduate of Pacific Lutheran University.Robert Headley, Partner: Robert is a partner at Ignition Partners, a venture capital firm based in the Northwest that is focused on early-stage investments in the wireless and software industries. Ignition Partners has approximately $900 million under management from leading international institutional investors. Robert invests in both wireless and software companies, and also acts as the firm's administrative partner, overseeing day to day operations.
Robert sits on the boards of RimTec, providing risk management solutions to the foreign exchange market, Enclarity, providing software solutions to the healthcare industry, Sparkplug Broadband, providing wireless connectivity to small and medium businesses, and Extend America, a rural wireless service provider.
Prior to joining Ignition, Robert spent seven years at Starbucks Coffee Company, most recently as vice president, finance & treasurer. In that role Robert managed Starbucks Investor Relations, Corporate Development, Treasury, Business Planning & Analysis and Profit Improvement functions. Robert led many of the company's financing, acquisition and joint venture efforts while he was there.
Prior to Starbucks, Robert spent three years in the Principal Investment Area and Investment Banking division of Goldman Sachs in New York and Sydney, Australia.
Robert holds an MS and BS degree with distinction in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
