Doctoral-degree trainees and post-doctoral fellows selected for the training program receive a monthly salary plus benefits and tuition support. All salary amounts are determined by NCI at the time of the grant proposal and remain the same for the duration of the grant and/or training period.
In addition, travel support is provided for students to conduct research and attend national and regional public health meetings. The training program also provides additional support in the form of computer equipment, supplies, and research-related assistance. This additional support will be influenced by tuition expenses.
Individuals pursuing doctoral degrees are offered funding for up to three years. Post-doctoral fellows pursuing an MPH or equivalent fellowships receive tuition and stipend support for up to two consecutive years.
