Travel Awards

N&B students who will be presenting their research at scientific conferences are eligible to apply for travel awards provided by the University of Washington Graduate School, as described here. The Graduate School awards cover travel costs up to $300 for domestic travel or $500 for international travel. Students who wish to apply for this award should contact N&B Program staff, who will evaluate applications in consultation with the Program directors.

The N&B Program will submit one application to the Graduate School each quarter, but not all applications submitted from our Program are guaranteed to be funded. When such applications are not funded by the Graduate School, the N&B Program may make awards of up $300 from its own funds, budget permitting.  Senior students who are presenting their dissertation research will have priority for such awards.
