Thomas J. Montinetmontine@u.washington.edu Our focus is to determine the major contributing processes to cognitive impairment and dementia, and to use this knowledge to develop new therapeutic targets to slow or prevent cognitive decline with advancing age. Our laboratory is uses a variety of aproaches in this pursuit including models such as primary cultures and transgenic mice, as well as human body fluids and brain. Our techniques our analytical and include a variety of mass spectrometric approaches, including proteomics and stable isotope dilution assays. |
