DANCE FORM AND LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE
Date: May 23rd, 2012
Location: Fishbowl, UW Gould Hall
Music and poetry exist in time,
Painting and architecture in space,
But dance lives at once in time and space.
In the presentation of “Dance Form and Landscape Architecture”, Flora Yeh will show works of the artists that inspire her, take you to discover design possibility through dance and music, and discuss her thinking in some of her projects.
Flora Yeh is a landscape architect and LEED accredited professional with Site Workshop. Originally from Taiwan, she graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a master’s degree in landscape architecture. Her passion for dance, music and art has inspired her imagination in design and helped her understand spatial continuity, sense of movement and a totality of experience in her projects. Prior to joining Site Workshop in Seattle, Flora worked in Houston, Boston and Taiwan. Besides being a mother, landscape architect and dancer, she was a volunteer producer and program host for the Pacifica Radio in Houston for four years.
