Retrospective, observational, and experimental studies at Bunchgrass Ridge explore the ecology and dynamics of Pacific Northwest meadows and their responses to experimental restoration treatments. We have designed these as an integrated series of studies that address the history of invasion, its consequences for biological diversity, and the potential for restoring meadow through tree removal and prescribed burning.
