    BIOETHICS GRAND ROUNDS
    The Department of Bioethics and Humanities and the University of Washington Medical Center’s Ethics Advisory Committee co-sponsors Bioethics Grand Rounds four times per academic year in September, November, February and April.
    BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH INTEGRITY SERIES
    Administered through the Department of Bioethics & Humanities, this summer series was developed several years ago by the UW School of Medicine in response to a directive by the Public Health Service (PHS) requiring that all post-doctoral researchers and graduate students supported by NIH training grants be provided with training in the ethics of research. Additionally, the Medical School Executive Committee recommends that all trainees, regardless of funding source, participate in the BRI Series during their training.

    SUMMER SEMINAR IN HEALTH CARE ETHICS
    The Summer Seminar in Health Care Ethics is scheduled for August 6th - 10th, 2012. This annual one-week seminar provides an intensive, interactive introduction to the anaylsis of ethical problems in clinical care. The seminar is directed to physicians, nurses, social workers, chaplains, attorneys, teachers and other professionals involved in the care of patients or the education of providers.     CHARLES W. BODEMER LECTURE
    Open to the community, this annual lecture, honoring Dr. Charles W. Bodemer--the founder and Chair of the Department of Biomedical History from 1967-1985--covers topics in the areas of medical ethics and medical history.

    McCORMICK RELIGION AND SCIENCE LECTURESHIP
    The Cooperating Ministries in Higher Education (CMHE) at the University of Washington sponsors this lectureship to honor Dr. McCormick for the role he has played in fostering the teaching of medical ethics over the past 37 years. They offer this public lectureship to encourage dialogue between religion and science by engaging members of both the academic community and members of various faith communities.
