The Department of Bioethics and Humanities and the University of Washington Medical Center’s Ethics Advisory Committee co-sponsors Bioethics Grand Rounds four times per academic year in September, November, February and April.
Administered through the Department of Bioethics & Humanities, this summer series was developed several years ago by the UW School of Medicine in response to a directive by the Public Health Service (PHS) requiring that all post-doctoral researchers and graduate students supported by NIH training grants be provided with training in the ethics of research. Additionally, the Medical School Executive Committee recommends that all trainees, regardless of funding source, participate in the BRI Series during their training. SUMMER SEMINAR
