The Surgical Ethics Conference 2024

The 2024 University of Washington Center for Surgical Ethics Seminar is devoted to topics of special interest to surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical nurses, and residents and fellows of all surgical specialties. It will be held hybrid & in-person on Thursday and Friday, August 1st and 2nd 2024.

Summer Seminar & Surgical Ethics Conference Objectives:

  • Identify fundamental concepts and principles for the understanding of ethical issues in clinical care
  • Implement a method for analyzing ethical cases in clinical healthcare

  • Employ skills in decision-making for clinical cases that present ethical problems
  • Discuss current issues and cases in healthcare ethics

Previous years' Conference Fees:

  • Full conference registration: $150*

  • Spanish language virtual session only: $75**

The University of Washington School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Historically, the Surgical Ethics Conference was approved for CME credits. Information on this year's conference 2024 is pending.
