Bioengineering Weekly Announcements

The Bioengineering Seminar meets Thursday, April 27 from 12:30 to 1:20 p.m. in the Bioengineering Seminar Room. Dr. Peter Katona, president of The Whitaker Foundation, will present "The Legacy of the Whitaker Foundation and Prospects for Biomedical Engineering."

BIOEN 511, the Biomaterials Seminar, is canceled this week for the SFB conference.

BIOEN 599F, the Nanotechnology Seminar, meets Tuesday, April 25 from 12:30 to 1:20 p.m. in Bagley 260. Dr. Shouheng Sun, associate professor of chemistry and engineering at Brown University, will present "Monodisperse Magnetic Nanoparticles for Biomedical Applications."

Congratulations to Michael Linnes, the newest Bioengineering Cardiovascular Training Grant (BCTG) pre-doctoral trainee. The appointment is for 2 years, with encouragement to reapply for a third year.
