**Dr. Gerald Pollack was selected as the UW’s Annual Faculty Lecturer
	for 2007-2008. The award carries a $5,000 stipend and honors UW faculty
	"whose achievements have had a substantial impact on their profession, on the research or
	performance of others, and perhaps on society as a whole." The lecture date will be 
	announced when it is determined.


**The departmental graduation ceremony on June 8 honored 22 PhD, 30 BS,
	16 MME, and 5 MS grads. Thank you to all who helped with the celebration of our
