The Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) offers a Certificate in Innovation & Entrepreneurship (formerly TEC-Technology Entrepreneurship Certificate) for UW graduate students enrolled outside the Business School.
Students learn the basics of new enterprise creation as well as the specifics of marketing and sales, finance, operations and law as they relate to the start-up or rapid-growth firm.
Students who would like to develop their entrepreneurial skills may elect to complete the certificate in conjunction with their graduate studies.

Coursework consists of 18 credits which may be spread out over two years at a minimum. Program requirements include courses in entrepreneurial finance and strategy.
