Research

Dr. Roberts' major research goals are to understand the pathways that control proliferation of mammalian cells. His group focuses upon how signals that promote or inhibit cell division modulate the activity of cyclins and cyclin-dependent kinases during the G1 phase of the cell cycle, and how cyclin-kinase complexes, in turn, regulate downstream events that are necessary for chromosomal DNA replication.
