Abstracts must be submitted no later than June 15, 2004. Only registered participants may submit abstracts. Accepted abstracts will be published in a program booklet that will be distributed at the meeting. All accepted abstracts should be presented as posters during the meeting. A limited number of abstracts will be selected for short (10-15 minute) oral presentations.

INSTRUCTIONS: Abstracts should be submitted in English by email to mpsa2004@u.washington.edu as an attached Microsoft Word (.doc) or RTF (.rtf) file. The email subject line should state: ABSTRACT: [your name]. If you wish your abstract to be considered for an oral presentation please include a sentence to that effect on the first line of the email message.

Abstract Format (see example) :

SIZE: Text and diagrams must fit within a rectangle measuring 5.5 inches (14 cm) wide by 6 inches (15 cm) in height, using Times New Roman 12-point font (approximate maximum of 300 words.)

TITLE: in bold face and all capital letters; in general, the title should be succinct and not occupy more than two lines.

AUTHORS: Give each author's full name; use numbers in parentheses to indicate affiliations for authors from different institutions or programs, separate authors with commas. The presenter's name may be underlined.

AFFILIATIONS: Give each author's full mailing address.

TEXT AND DIAGRAMS: Diagrams are permitted and should be submitted as a separate attached file. All text and diagrams must fit within the allotted space defined above. Abstracts will be reproduced in black and white; therefore, color in figures will not be reproduced. We reserve the right not to include improperly formatted abstracts in the program booklet.
