The University of Washington is located in a neighborhood with a large variety of restaurants, most of them small and casual and within easy walking distance. Watch this space and your meeting programs for a local guide to restaurants near the University and around town.

Breakfast and Lunch: For those of you staying in the dorms, most of your breakfasts and lunches during the meeting will be provided. Others will have sufficient time during lunch break to find a meal on campus or nearby. Typical lunch prices in the area are $5-8.

EVENING MEALS
Opening Night and Poster Receptions: Everyone registered for the meeting is invited to attend the Wednesday Opening Night Reception at the Burke and the Poster Reception on Thursday. While these are not sit-down dinners, we will provide enough heavy hors d’oeuvres, along with free beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages, to make a satisfying meal for most people.

BBQ and Banquet: For an additional fee, you may also attend the BBQ Friday night, which will feature ribs, chicken, and veggie burgers. On Saturday night aboard the dinner cruise ship Royal Argosy, you can wander the decks and look at the view while you sample a variety of freshly-prepared foods from a selection of banquet tables.

Those who choose to eat out on their own on Friday or Saturday nights have a wide variety of venues to choose from. In addition to the restaurant guide, the local organizers are happy to make specific recommendations for places to go.
