BRIDGES4 is a 12 week (June 24th - Sept. 13th) program in the summer and nine months during the academic year. It has laboratory positions for students interested in biomedical research internship experience. BRIDGES4 students are on the University of Washington payroll. The BRIDGES4 Program is open to Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana, and Idaho students only.

All students must have successfully completed one year of undergraduate studies including at least one year-long series in calculus or science with a GPA of 2.8 or higher. The BRIDGES4 Program focuses its resources on underrepresented (i.e., African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian/Pacific Islander, and Hispanic/Mexican American) students that are US citizens or permanent residents, however no student will be denied the opportunity to apply to or participate in the program.
