Beverly Long, Psy.D.

Beverly Long, Psy.D, Licensed Psychologist is an Assistant Professor in the Psychiatry Department of the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She has studied DBT since the early 1990s, completed the Intensive Training in Seattle in 1997, and has done extensive teaching and training of DBT teams in Minnesota. She helped develop a DBT inpatient unit at the Anoka-Metro Regional Treatment Center, a state hospital for the mentally ill, which had successful outcome data. She is currently training psychiatry residents in the use of DBT to treat difficult patients, as well as training unit staff on one of the inpatient units in DBT approaches.
