UW Wins Ethics Case Competition
The University of Washington team won the first place prize at the 2004 Western Region Ethics Case Competition. The University of Arizona's Eller College of Management hosted the inaugural competition October 28-29, 2004. The competition presented nine student teams with a thought provoking ethical case that was analyzed and presented to a panel of judges. The UW Business School team, Marcie Garrity and Emily Grad, will split the $1,000 award. Scott Reynolds, Assistant Professor of Business Ethics, was their faculty adviser and assisted with preparation for the competition.
Business School Graduate Receives NHRMA Award
A UW Business School graduate, Kah Loh, won the Northwest Human Resource Management Association (NHRMA) Robert Denomy Award for outstanding student. Kah was selected for the award among applicants from Washington, Oregon and Alaska. He received the award and a $1000 prize at the NHRMA annual conference on Sept 14th at Semiamoo. As his advisor, Jane George-Falvy also received an award.
Application Workshops 2005
Application workshops give detailed information about the application process, including the Writing Skills Assessment, to students who plan to apply to the Business School.
Our first Application Workshop has been scheduled for Friday, December 3rd, in Smith 205, 1:00-2:20. Seating is limited and students will be seated on first come basis. Doors will be closed once all seats are filled; no standing room due to Fire Codes.
