- communications
  . the campus wide announcement went out this morning. it was a coup.
  . heidi is working with tom to generate list UW NetIDs for keynes users.
  . heidi and nathan will work on announcement to keynes users
  . we may need minor doc change for POP/SSL

- modem pool update
  . tacacs isn't a big security issue (password only travel on one
    subnet downstairs), so we'll let the old equipment "quietly fade
    into oblivion."
  . aaron will check on the phase out schedule
  . aaron will check with mike willis about disabling outgoing telnet
    from dialin prompt

- plan for rlogind
  . rlogind is an issue; it prompts for a password
  . it relies on login.krb5
  . in april, when a warning goes into login.krb5, it will
    be displayed by rlogind
  . in june, rlogind will stop prompting for password

- file transfer
  . SFTP does a 'chmod 600' on all files; not good for web content
  . nathan will talk to jim fox about webdav and report back

- XDM?
  . brad/jim identified some things

- ODBC
  . brad/sid/ping made some progress
