Secure Services meeting minutes - June 18th

- Review of Last Week IMAP/POP/Keynes changeover:
 . some unuspported hardware issues (mac se)
 . help desk was very busy but not overwhelmed 
 . some questions are 2nd tier (i'm using web pine, 
   how do I....)
 . nobody ended up on the 'unsecure' backup mail server
 . statistics proved to be confusing and inaccurate
 . no big problems / high level complaints
 . hardware resources were not overloaded

- For this this week's changes
 . support staffing to be the same
 . rexec will be turned off
 . no more email warnings will be sent out 
 . change also at 12:01

AI - determine text for new insecure telnetd [email]

AI - Add "press <return> to disconnect" or sleep to
     new insecure telnetd [Donn]

- Refugee systems for Homer/Dante/Aagaard will be
  available on June 20th cutover; should get Assistant
  Director level approval for use

- Next payroll deadline may cause a spike in calls
  for help from Keynes users who haven't converted yet

AI - Compile list services which still need to be 
     secured [System managers].

- Concerning the future FTP changeover:

 . Team needs to define what statistics we desire for
   UA FTP services
 . Choices about Autumn UWICK needs to be set by August 1st
