    • Merchant Transaction ID has a default value of ALL.  This will display all transactions within the stores you have chosen.
    • If you enter a Merchant Transaction ID, you must have choose a store, you'll get a list of merchant numbers that are part of the store you chose.
      • It is important to note that the Merchant Transaction ID is not dependant on the date range that was chosen. You do not need to change the date range to find a specific Merchant Transaction ID for a store.
    • Sort By allows you to choose to sort by either Date or the Merchant Transaction ID
      • Date is the date the transaction was last updated by the UW Web Credit Card system.  This typically only happens once, so the transactions fall in chronological order in most cases.  This is the timestamp that is left on the record when the transaction was created.  For instance if a transaction was shown as an Error, this date would be when the Error occurred.
      • Merchant Transaction ID simply sorts the transactions within the store and merchant number by the Merchant Transaction ID, the ID assigned to the record by the store issuing the purchase transaction.
  • Click the "Submit" button when you're ready to generate the report.

How to Complete this Page:

  • The Transaction Listing Report is formatted to fit your screen and print nicely onto multiple pages.
  • The Transaction Listing Report displays a header each time the page breaks for printing, and consists of some valuable pieces of information:
    • The name of the report, Transaction Listing
    • The UW Area name of the store
    • The credit card type that the transactions were processed under
    • The date range you chose
    • The sorting method of the report
    • The Merchant Number for the group of transactions
  • There is one function on this report to get detailed information on a transaction and do credits and voids for authorized users.
    • This can be done by clicking on the Transaction ID link on the transaction you wish to get more information on.  This link will popup a window and leave your report intact.
    • This detail page that pops up allows the user to view more specific details on the transaction and perform operations allowable for this kind of transaction and user authorization.
    • Click the "Back To Report" button to return to the report.
  • At the end of each grouping of transactions by merchant number within a store, a Process Status Total is listed
    • Each process status is grouped and totaled
    • Each process status has an inherent grouping:
      • Completed: Transaction completed successfully without error.  Examples are Purchase (Sale), Credit, Capture or Void.
      • Error: Transaction caused an error and may need user interaction to resolve.  Examples include card request failing either at the merchant level, the application level or the store level.
        • Process Status B's and T's are flagged as red because money has changed hands at the merchant level or store level, but has not been recognized by the store application or the bank.  Meaning someone could have been charged, but not have been recognized by the store.
      • Other: Transaction occured that did not fall into the category of Completed or Other.  These transactions are typically for auditing uses when looking at the transactions that occured over time.  For instance, you can see the value of the transactions that were canceled.
  • Report Totals are listed at the end of the report.
    • These allow the user to see what the total sums of transactions were for more than one store if they wish.
