In November Uzbek Agency of Information and Communication announced that the number of mobile phone users in the country grew above 5 million. In 2005 the number was around 1 m., and in 2007 the growth in number of users accounted for 2,5 m. There are 5 mobile phone providers in the country. Source:Cnews.kz, 11/22/07.
