Cardiology Grand Rounds Archives

Cardiology Grand Rounds are weekly lectures on topics of current research and clinical interest to cardiologists, primary care physicians, allied health professionals and medical students. Grand Rounds are held from 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. on Fridays from September through June, in Turner Auditorium, Room D-209 Health Sciences Building, University of Washington, 1959 NE Pacific Street, Seattle, WA 98195. On the third Friday of each month, Grand Rounds are telecast live through Telehealth Services at the University of Washington. CME credits are available to attendees at all sites.

The Series Chair for Cardiology Grand Rounds is Kevin D. O’Brien, M.D., Professor of Medicine, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology, University of Washington School of Medicine, Seattle, Washington, cardiac@u.washington.edu.

Program Objectives

Upon completion of this program, attendees should be able to:

  • Discuss current research and topics of clinical interest to cardiologists.
  • Integrate and collate new data and developments in the field of cardiology in order to reach appropriate treatment decisions.

Accreditation

The University of Washington School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The University of Washington School of Medicine designates this educational activity for a maximum of 39.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. (Each session is 1.0 credits)
