Located on the 3rd floor in the Regional Heart Center, directly east of the Pacific elevators.

The UWMC Regional Heart Center's Echocardiography Laboratory is state-of-the-art, performing transthoracic, transesophageal and stress echocardiography, conducting over 7,000 studies last year. Dr. Rosario Freeman, Assistant Professor of Medicine and Acting Director of the Echocardiography Laboratory heads a distinguished Medical Staff. Dr. Alan Pearlman is a recognized expert in Echocardiography, past-president of the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), and is the current Editor in Chief of the Journal of the ASE. Dr. Catherine Otto is a leading authority on Valvular Heart Disease and the Editor of several definitive textbooks on Echocardiography. Dr. David Linker, is internationally recognized for his work on intravascular ultrasound and has authored a textbook on Echocardiography in Congenital Heart Disease. Along with other excellent Echocardiography staff, these physicians are internationally recognized for their expertise, including imaging in Congenital and complex Cardiovascular disease.

Echocardiography is offered at three clinical sites: The main Echocardiography Laboratory in the UWMC Regional Heart Center, the Eastside Specialty Center, and the UW Medicine Regional Heart Center—Alderwood.
