Referring Patients: To refer patients for diagnostic heart catheterization or elective interventional procedures, call Janine Bural, patient care coordinator, at (206) 598-8200 or through UW Paging at (206) 598-6190. For emergent referrals, call the interventional cardiology attending at UW Paging at (206) 598-6190. In the past year, more than 2,000 diagnostic and 500 interventional catheterizations were performed in the UWMC heart catheterization laboratory. Interventional cardiologists Dr. Steven Goldberg, Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Dr. Michael Kim, Associate Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, Dr. Douglas Stewart, Director of the Interventional Cardiology Fellowship Program, Dr. Larry Dean, Director of the Regional Heart Center, and Dr. Creighton Don have broad experience in interventional cardiology, including complex coronary interventions (rotational atherectomy, laser atherectomy, and percutaneous ventricular assist device-supported interventions), structural heart disease (including percutaneous valve therapies and ASD/PFO closures), septal ablation for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, and peripheral vascular interventions.
