The UW Tacoma Career Development Center, as part of the educational process at UW Tacoma, provides quality services to assist undergraduate, graduate, and alumni in developing and fulfilling their career objectives.
We provide students and alumni with expertise, resources, and access to potential employers. Our services address the three stages of the career development process:
- Self-assessment discovery of individual strengths and talents
- Exploration of the world of work applying self-knowledge to the discovery of career opportunities
- Search for employment or graduate school integration of knowledge, experience, and skills toward successful professional growth and life beyond UWT
Students and alumni will experience the career development cycle many times during their work lives, and the Career Development Center is available at each step in the process.
Our services and resources include assessment testing (skills, interests, values), help in selecting a major, career counseling, peer advising, resume development, career and internship planning, practice interviews, career library and handouts, job search and networking strategies, and salary negotiation.
