Sales Rep, Laird Plastics
In 1999, Corina Viera graduated with her associates of arts degree from Spokane Community College. Shortly after graduating, she received a position working with a restaurant chain in San Diego California helping with their community outreach division. Later, she found herself here at the University of Washington pursuing more education. In 2007, she graduated with degrees in communication and sociology. Since then, she received her license in real estate and practices passively. She is employed full time as a sale representative with Laird Plastics here in Seattle. Laird is a 52 facility plastics distribution corporation that employs 1000 people in the US and Canada. Laird’s most recent accomplishment was helping our customers and facilities to recycle over 3 million pounds of plastics in 2008.

Johnny Luu was born and raised in Seattle. Growing up he always had a vision of helping people in terms of: working for the people, networking with people, meeting new people, establishing connections and addressing some of the problems, society may bring to the people. Upon finishing K-12 and graduating from Franklin High School in 2001, he planned to attend the University of Washington to become a Business Administration major, but later chose Sociology. He graduated from the University of Washington in 2007. For these past few years, he has been in the United States Department of Labor, Seattle District Office as a full-time Compliance Officer, which he prefers to be known as likewise an Equal Opportunity Specialist, in making sure Federal Contractors comply with thee Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity Regulations for Minorities, Women, & Veterans/Disabled persons. A bonus: Many people for these past years are not aware that outside of school and work, he is a professional Disc Jockey and that music is his passion.
Family Victim Advocate, Naval Station Everett
She attended classes at UW from 2002 to 2007 and graduated with a BA in Sociology; Law, Society, and Social Policy. (She enrolled in the Sociology department while there were still the degree options.) While she was in college, she spent a great deal of time volunteering for different organizations (most notably volunteering in the King County Prosecuting Attorney's Office) and competing nationally on a performing arts team. Since graduating, she has been working with domestic violence victims as the Family Victim Advocate for Naval Station Everett, coaching two performing arts teams, and turning in applications in order to go back to school next fall.
