The 10th Annual UW Career Discovery Week

It's coming January 26–30, 2009. Careers will be discovered with more than 100 workshops, panel presentations, networking events and fairs. It's the largest event of its kind in the country—literally hundreds of UW alumni and friends volunteer to return to all three UW campuses and assist their fellow Huskies with career development.

Save-the-dates and stay tuned! We'll be adding more details about CDW, including a list of sessions, during the Fall 2008 quarter. Check back early and often to make sure you're in the know.

Want to do something now?
So excited about exploring your career options that you can't wait? Well, the folks behind Career Discovery Week are here to help. Start by browsing through the 2008 site to get an idea of what we’ll be offering at this year's great event.

Who's in charge here?
Career Discovery Week is presented by the UW Alumni Association, UW Career Center and an interdisciplinary planning committee—in conjunction with dozens of partners on all three UW campuses.

There are always plenty of career resources available on all three campuses. Students can connect with the UW Tacoma Career Development Center, UW Seattle Career Center or UW Bothell Career Center.

There's also the UW Alumni Association Career Services, which is open to all alumni and current UW students and serves as a hub for Huskies looking to give and/or receive career assistance and advice. Husky Career Network, for example, is a one-of-a-kind networking tool featuring more than 5,000 alumni and friends willing to help fellow Huskies with career exploration.

Questions? Write to us at careerwk@u.washington.edu or call the UW Alumni Association at 206-543-0540 or 1-800-AUW-ALUM.
