Presentation Proposals
The Colloquium provides opportunities to showcase the work of individual scholars and interdisciplinary teams.
Submissions can be of three different sorts:
- Brief, vigorous, and pithy presentations by individuals. Presentations are not to exceed 5 minutes in length and use more than 3 PowerPoint slides.
- Longer, focused presentations (up to 25 minutes) by interdisciplinary groups or teams. Group submissions must be organized around a cohesive and seminal topic, involve three to five presenters, and include at least one registered faculty, graduate student, or staff member at the University of Washington.
- Mini-posters – succinct (14” x 14”) visual summaries of a relevant research topic. Mini-posters will be displayed during the reception, and can be prepared by individuals or interdisciplinary teams.
Submit your presentation proposal by filling out the submission form and emailing it to conscoll@u.washington.edu.
Submissions are due by January 8, 2010. If we receive more submissions than we can accommodate, presenters will be chosen within broad disciplinary categories to ensure a diverse selection of presentations.
Presenters will be notified of their acceptance by January 31, 2010. All selected abstracts will be posted on the Colloquium website. For questions about submitting a presentation proposal please send an email to conscoll@u.washington.edu.
Here are examples of a completed submission form and some Powerpoint Presentations.
