Research at CCFW focuses on promoting child well-being using a whole-child or bioecolocial approach. Researchers include a over 20 faculty from across the UW, including psychology, psychiatry, nursing, social work, pediatrics, medicine, and education, collaborating in transdisciplinary programs of research.

Research initiatives include promoting social-emotional competence through families and schools, promoting the well-being of children experiencing economic disadvantage, and integrating mindfulness and compassion in policy and practice with children, parents, educators and providers working with children.
