Sleep Apnea Research Group

How You Can Help

Like most clinical researchers, we rely primarily on grant funding in order to conduct our research. We have been successful in securing funding from the National Institutes of Health and other agencies but are always in need of additional support. In order to develop new ideas and extend current projects that are yielding interesting results, we depend on support from individuals, foundations, and others that may have interest in clinical research or in sleep apnea research specifically.

Support from you would enable us to concentrate our research efforts in specific areas to:

  • Improve the quality of life for those suffering from obstructive sleep apnea
  • Discover new risk factors in developing obstructive sleep apnea
  • Improve tolerance for Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) therapy
  • Treat nasal obstruction in patients with obstructive sleep apnea
  • Determine the effectiveness of surgical treatments for obstructive sleep apnea
  • Identify other treatments for obstructive sleep apnea
  • Your gift might allow us to:

  • Hire more research and administrative staff
  • Fund the purchase of new computers, software, and research equipment
  • Foster collaboration with other research groups
  • Extend research projects that are yielding valuable results
  • Shorten the time it takes to publish the results of our research
  • If you are in the position to help, please contact us directly at 206-744-1808 or email us at

    Thank you for your support!
