Creating the Future We Want to Be:
Transformation through Partnerships

FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR PARTICIPANTS

CCPH is working hard to secure funds for scholarships to ensure the full participation of students and individuals from community-based organizations and developing countries. If you have suggestions of possible funding agencies that we should approach for scholarship support, please let us know.

Current scholarship opportunities for conference participants are listed below. Please review these carefully as they may have different eligibility criteria, priorities and application deadlines.

For fundraising ideas, we recommend the article "8 Ways to Raise $2500 (or more) in 10 days (or less, sometimes)" from the September/October 2003 issue of the Grassroots Fundraising Journal. Local foundations are possible sources of support, as this article about how a CCPH member raised funds for student participation demonstrates. If you need a letter of support to bolster your fundraising efforts, email us .

Scholarships for Participants from Oregon and Southwest Washington

Thanks to the generous support of the Northwest Health Foundation, limited scholarships will be available to help off-set registration, lodging and travel expenses for selected participants from Oregon and SW Washington (the counties of Clark, Cowlitz, Pacific, Skamania and Wahkiakum). The priority for these funds will be confirmed conference presenters, Northwest Health Foundation grantees, students and individuals from community-based organizations, but we aim to support as many people as possible who want to attend.

Applications for these scholarship funds must be submitted using this online form no later than February 12, 2010. Applicants will be notified of the decision on their application by February 23, 2010.

Scholarships for Participants from Selected Areas in Texas

Thanks to the generous support of St. Luke's Episcopal Health Charities in Houston, TX, scholarships are available to help off-set registration, lodging and travel expenses for selected community-based participants from the Houston, Texas community and communities within the 7-county Episcopal Diocese of Texas.

Individuals who are employed by a higher educational institution or government-based agency are not eligible to apply.

Applications for scholarship funding must be submitted using this online form no later than February 12, 2010. Applicants will be notified of the decision on their application by February 23, 2010.
