CCPH Member Interest Groups (MIGs)

CCPH Members are encouraged to join as many MIGs as they wish! To join, click on the link "Join this MIG" below the Member Interest Group(s) of your choice to subscribe to that MIG's listserv, unsubscribe, and view archives.

Don't see a MIG that addresses your interests? Volunteer to moderate a new MIG! Contact ccph.info@gmail.com with your idea.

Before you subscribe to a MIG listserv, be sure to review the guidelines for use.

Aboriginal & Indigenous Peoples' Health: This MIG is intended for CCPH members who seek to improve the health (broadly defined) of Aboriginal and Indigenous Peoples.

Community-Academic Partnerships in HIV/AIDS: This MIG is intended for CCPH members who seek to improve the health (broadly defined) of people living with HIV/AIDS and address the social determinants of HIV/AIDS.

Community-Engaged Scholarship: This MIG is intended for CCPH members who seek to recognize and reward community-engaged scholarship, such as through promotion and tenure guidelines, faculty and staff development, institutional support structures and opportunities for peer review and dissemination.

Emerging Leaders: This MIG is intended for students, post-doctoral fellows and other CCPH members who seek to support and develop future leaders of community-academic partnerships and social change.

Ethical Issues in Partnerships: This MIG is intended for CCPH members who seek to address ethical issues that arise in community-academic partnerships, such as establishing community advisory boards, obtaining community consent and navigating institutional review boards/ethics review boards.

Guidelines for Use of CCPH Member Interest Group Listservs

Member Interest Group listservs are offered by CCPH as a member benefit. CCPH does not accept responsibility for opinions and information posted by list members. While these lists are moderated, the guidelines below have been established to prevent inappropriate conduct. All posts must be made in accordance to these guidelines. Should any member violate these guidelines, CCPH reserves the right to remove them from the list(s).

No users should:

  • Post any slanderous, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, or hateful content or content which is racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable.
  • Post or transmit sexually explicit images or other offensive content.
  • Post unsolicited advertisements for any given product or service.
  • Impersonate any person or a name that you are not entitled or authorized to use.
  • Intentionally or unintentionally violate any applicable local, state, national or international law, including but not limited to posting of copyrighted materials (for news articles or other copyrighted information that is on the web, please post links to the information).
