How do I join?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Now that I'm a member what can I use the Member Directory for?

Members can use this powerful tool for a variety of tasks, including:

  • Identifying members with similar interests or areas of expertise
  • Searching for members by location, organization, or keyword
  • Finding a mentor or partner
  • Emailing CCPH members (individuals, sub-groups or all members)
  • Printing a directory of members
  • Updating their member profile, including contact info and areas of interest
  • Quickly finding their member ID number, renewal date, and membership type

CCPH staff also use the directory to send members customized e-mails tailored to their location, interests and other details in their member profiles. CCPH staff are constantly scanning for grants, conferences, publications and news that can strengthen member partnerships and support them in their work!

Does the public have access to the information in the Member Directory?

The online directory is password protected in order to ensure the privacy of information. CCPH members and staff are the only people allowed full access. The public has guest access only, which means they can see your name and organizational affiliation.

I am a CCPH member and know my username and password. I tried to conduct a search but it was unsuccessful. Why?

There may be several reasons for this occurrence:

CCPH maintains full information on its members for the following fields: Name, Title, Organization, Address, City, State, Country, Telephone, Fax, and Email. However, some members have not had a chance to update their profiles so the directory may not contain complete information on member's for the following fields: Disciplinary Focus, Professional Position, Organizational Category, Community-Campus Partnerships, Area(s) of Expertise, Topic(s) of Interest, and Grant & Funding Sources. Searching for specific phrases in those fields may limit your search results.

Some tips and strategies that may help:

  • A previous search may not have cleared. Each time you start a new search click on "clear" to start a completely new search. This will improve your results.
  • Use a keyword search on the Simple Search page.
  • Use the wildcard feature: use the "%" key to find partial matches to your searches, i.e. Ma% would return both Maryland and Maine. If you want to do a broad search that returns both "Nursing" and "Nurses," you could use "Nurs%" in the search box on the Simple Search page.

If you think you received "no results" in error please contact us at info@ccph.info.

I am a CCPH member but have not received my username and password and I am not listed in the online directory. Why?

There are several possible reasons for this:

Your membership may have expired and you are not currently a CCPH member. To check on the current status of your membership, please see How do I find out if my CCPH membership is current?

We may not have your current contact information. If you think this might be the case, you can update your contact information.

You recently joined and your information has not yet been uploaded into the online directory. It takes two to three weeks to process your membership.

If you think we may be mistaken about your membership status or you joined more than three weeks ago, please contact us at info@ccph.info.
