The mission of the Center for Health Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (CEDI) is to build individual and institutional capacity to achieve excellence, foster innovation, and further health equity in our state and region by advancing diversity and inclusiveness throughout the School of Medicine’s teaching, patient care and research programs.
CEDI Programs and Collaborations
CEDI’s programs and collaborations are aligned to further its goal of promoting diversity and inclusiveness throughout the School of Medicine including the WWAMI region. CEDI maintains two medical student pathways and six medical school electives to encourage and support education, and ultimately higher quality of care for diverse populations impacted by health disparities. CEDI’s collaborations span the teaching and research spectrums from the pre-medical school pipeline to medical school faculty, including collaborations with departments and divisions, general medical education, academic affairs and teaching programs in WWAMI region.
