The
Center for Enabling New Technologies Through Catalysis
is sponsoring a five-day summer school on Organometallic
Catalysis. The workshop will be held July 20-25 at
the University of Washington in Seattle.
Why
attend this summer school?
The
purpose of the Summer School is to give participants the
opportunity to discover recent applications of
organometallic chemistry and related disciplines, such
as enzymatic catalysis. Instructors from industry
and academia who have been directly involved in recent
discoveries and commercialization of processes using
organometallic catalysts have been invited. Come discuss
the major needs and challenges for catalysis in the
chemical industry, learn about the interrelations
between different kinds of catalysis and how to approach
complex problems.
Who
should apply?
Advanced students, early-career researchers and faculty
members interested in deepening their understanding of
organometallic catalysis and who desire to appreciate
the relationship between one’s postgraduate research and
its potential applications are invited to apply.
Applications from members of underrepresented groups are
particularly encouraged.
