CENTC Summer Schools 2010 The 2010 CENTC Summer School on "Emerging
Perspectives in Catalysis" was held July 19-22 at the University of
Washington in Seattle. The program emphasized purposes, techniques,
challenges and career opportunities in catalysis as the 21st century
progresses. Energy, a primary impetus for research funding and
employment in catalysis, wsa the focus of presentations by prominent
researchers from industry, research universities and national
laboratories. In addition to instruction in catalysis, small group
workshops on funding and outreach were featured. Click here

The goal of the 2008 Summer School was to give participants the opportunity to discover recent applications of organometallic chemistry and related disciplines, such as enzymatic catalysis. Instructors from industry and academia who have been directly involved in recent discoveries and commercialization of processes using organometallic catalysts were invited to speak and lead discussion panels. Advanced students, early-career researchers and faculty members were invited to learn about the interrelations between different kinds of catalysis and how to approach complex problems. |
