Post-war enrollment spikes

Enrollment in the renamed College of Economics and Business Administration spikes to 1,350 by 1920, ranking it among the four leading schools of commerce in the US. Through the 1920s, nearly one in four undergraduate students at the UW major in business; one-third of them are women.

Chinese exchange students

First international student exchange created

Twelve Chinese students are enrolled as the College of Business Administration’s first international exchange. Several are Boxer Indemnity Scholars, their tuition and travel financed by the Chinese government as part of its war reparations to the United States for damage done during the Boxer Rebellion.
