Event Comments:

Graduate and celebrate all of you! Lavender Graduation is open to any student eligible, at any level (undergrad or graduate/professional) for a graduation in the 2015-2016 (including fall 2016) academic year.

The Q Center and ASUW Queer Student Commission host Lavender Graduation as a time for the UW queer, trans, two-spirit, same gender loving, and allied communities to come together and celebrate our multiple identities, our accomplishments, and sheer AWESOMENESS.

You do not have to be graduating or be of a certain sexual or gender identity/orientation/expression to participate and/or attend this year-end celebration. Everyone is welcome and wanted!!!

Tickets Required?

No. However, graduates must also register with the Q Center

Cap and Gown Required?

Graduates and guests are welcome to dress however they like!

Parking Info

If you wish to park on campus, pre-paid parking permits will be required for this event. Students should purchase these permits for themselves and their guests through the order form, May 4 to May 22, 2016.

Commencement Day Schedule

June 11, 2016 / Husky Stadium
12:30 - Stadium doors open (bag inspection performed).
12:30 - Grads line up on the Outdoor Practice Field (security inspections performed).
1:30 - Procession begins
4:30 - Ceremony concludes

Rain or shine

Let's hope for a beautiful, sunny day! However, if it rains, plastic ponchos will be handed out to graduates. Umbrellas are permitted.
