Human Papillomavirus Genotyping

The Roche Linear Array is a qualitative test that detects 37 high- and low-risk human papillomavirus genotypes, including those considered a significant risk factor for HSIL progression to cervical cancer.

HPV genotypes included: 6, 11, 16, 18, 26, 31, 33, 35, 39, 40, 42, 45, 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 58, 59, 61, 62, 64, 66, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73 (MM9), 81, 82 (MM4), 83 (MM7), 84 (MM8), IS39, and CP6108 (high-risk in bold). The assay utilizes a DNA column vacuum based extraction followed by PCR and hybridization of oligonucleotide probes to bound amplified product and colorimetric determination. The ideal sample type is a cervical, genital, or rectal brush or swab collected and stored in a PCR Buffer such as the Roche PCR Cell Collection Media.
