The SPRC holds several trainings each year in qualitative research methods. 

In 2010, the SPRC initiated a series of workshops on qualitative research methods.  Demand for these workshops has been very high with more than 80 researchers being training in the first year of workshops.  Past Qualitative Research methodology workshops have included the following topics:

• An introduction to qualitative research
• Qualitative research methodology: forming a research question and selecting a method
• How to conduct effective interviews and focus groups
• Coding and data analysis
• Atlas.ti for beginners
• Developing grant applications that incorporate qualitative research
