Humoral Immunity Subcore

The Humoral Immunity subcore offers the following services: antibody and antigen testing, recombinant protein and antibody production, viral and cell line culture, and neutralization assays.

Antibody-based Analyses for Antibodies or Antigens
Three antibody-based analyses. Below are protocols and further information on the analyses for which we can provide assistance.

  • Western blot for Envelope proteins
  • HIV-1 Envelope gp120 ELISA for endpoint titer and avidity
  • BioLayer interferometry (Octet)*

Recombinant Protein and Antibody Production and Purification
Two types of assays are available for recombinant protein research:

  • Expression and Purification of HIV-1 Envelope gp120 and gp140
  • Large-scale purification of IgG from human or macaque plasma

Virus and Cell Line Culture and Neutralization Assays
Four types of assays. Below are protocols and further information on the analyses for which we can provide assistance.

  • Isolation of PBMC from PALL filters for subsequent bulk viral infection
  • Bulk Viral Infection of PHA-activated PBMC
  • Pseudovirus production
  • TZM-bl neutralization assay for HIV-1 single round competent viruses
