The HIV Vaccine Trials Network (HVTN) is proud to announce the Translational HIV Vaccine Early Stage Investigator (ESI) Conference! The conference is scheduled for May 21-22, 2017 and will be held at the Washington Hilton in Washington DC.
This event will focus on building skills, knowledge, professional networks and career development strategies to foster the professional identity of early stage translational HIV vaccine scientists working with nonhuman primates (NHPs) and support them reaching career milestones at an accelerated pace.
During the conference there will be several seminars aimed at providing attendees with information about current HIV vaccine clinical trials, opportunities for translational work, career growth milestones and how to reach them, as well as successful funding strategies. Attendees are also encouraged to give a 5 minute Ignite-style talk during the conference about their current research.
This event is open to early stage investigators currently conducting NHP HIV vaccine research and the HVTN will offer a limited number of travel awards to attend this conference. If you are interested in attending please fill out a travel award application. Applications are due April 14, 2017. Awardees are also encouraged to attend the HVTN Full Group Meeting (FGM), May 23-25, 2017.
