Brian Doehle
University of Washington

Brian Doehle is currently a Senior Fellow in the Department of Immunology at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Doehle received both a BS and MS in Biological Sciences from Ohio University in Athens, OH. He received his PhD in Molecular Genetics and Microbiology from Duke University in 2006. During his graduate education Dr. Doehle studied HIV and retroviral cellular tropism and virus host interactions focusing on the APOBEC family of proteins, under the direction of Dr. Bryan Cullen. In 2006 Dr. Doehle joined the Gale laboratory focusing efforts on developing novel programs studying into HIV modulation of innate immune signaling pathways including the degradation of IRF-3 by HIV-1.
